Christmas Advent

This month of December not only begins Christmas and preparations, but also Christmas Advent.

Today I am sharing information and how you can illuminate your home with heavenly light to welcome the Christmas Eve!

The word Advent means “coming” or “arrival.” The focus of the entire season is the celebration of the birth of Jesus the Christ in his First Advent, and the anticipation of the return of Christ the King in his Second Advent.
The word “Advent” is derived from the Latin word adventus, meaning “coming,” which is a translation of the Greek word parousia.

What does Advent mean in the Bible?
These are sure signs of Advent for many Christian groups around the world. But what is Advent exactly? The word Advent derives from the Latin adventus, which means an arrival or visit. Advent is the beginning of the spiritual year for these churches, and it’s observed the four Sundays before Christmas Day.

What is the true message of Advent?
The Advent Season is all about reflecting on how we can prepare our hearts and homes for Christ’s birth in the world as it is today. It is a time for faith communities and families to remember, through prayer, reflections, special music, and good deeds what the true meaning of Jesus’ birth is.

Why do Christians do Advent?
The word ‘advent’ literally means ‘coming’ and it is a time of reflection on the coming of Christ into the world at his birth. It is also a time of preparation when Christians think about the second coming of Christ and what they need to do to be ready for his return.

Is Advent the same as Christmas?

What did Jesus do on Advent?
In some traditions, followers of Jesus devote the first two weeks of Advent to remembering Jesus’ promise to return and renew Heaven and Earth. so that humanity can be healed and at peace with God. Then, during the last two weeks of Advent, these communities focus on the birth of Jesus.
